How do I add public holidays and festivals?
For owners and admins
In Settings → Organization → Company holidays (or on Activity), click Add holidays: pick your country and year, tick the days your company takes off, and add them all at once. Nobody is marked absent those days. It’s on every plan.
- 1Open Settings → Organization and find Company holidays (or open Activity), then click Add holidays.
- 2Check the Country and pick the year. Upcoming national holidays are already ticked.
- 3Tick or untick days, then click Add holidays.
India’s list is the Government of India’s gazetted holidays (Diwali, Holi, Eid, Dussehra and the rest). For a state festival or a day of your own, use Add absence → Who: Everyone (public holiday).
A holiday is a day off for everyone, like a weekly off: nobody is late or absent, nobody gets a “Start work” reminder, and in the payroll Excel it’s a paid holiday, not a working day.
Anyone who works that day anyway is shown, and all their hours count as extra hours (overtime). If some people work festivals on shifts, plan them on Work schedule: their app starts the day as usual.
